Prime Suspect is a British police procedural crowding series devised by Lynda La Plante. It stars Helen Mirren as Jane Tennison, one of the first womanly Detective Chief Inspectors in Greater London's Metropolitan Police Service, who rises show to advantage the rank of Detective Superintendent extensively confronting institutionalised sexism within the boys in blue force.

Plot
